Mail Access 2007 App Reviews

8 Customer Reviews:

The app doesnt work under Mountain Lion, it always give "Invalid Logon Details", using the same data used to log into Outlook Web Access. However, the worst of it is the absolute lack of support. I have opened two tickets and wait more that two weeks, and havent heard a word. Disrespectful.

I tried various solutions to access my Outlook Web Access mail account to no avail. Even tried setting up DAVMAIL as a link between my OWA account and various Mac-friendly mail clients. MailAccess2007 worked like a charm from the moment I installed it. It really ought to be promoted more widely as there are lots of people with company email accounts that have just given up and resigned themselves to web-only access. I am only speaking from my own experience, but this app was well worth the price.

I was not able to connect to my work OWA through this app, it kept giving me a "Invalid Login Details" error message even though I used the same login credentials in my web browser and was able to successfully login....wasted $8.00 on an app I cannot use.

I had high hopes for this app since I have two different accounts that use Outlook Web Access and its a pain logging in and using a web browser to email. The interface on this program is very spartan, which is OK, except that imagine my confusion when I opened one of my messages (only the subject line and senders name is displayed) and tried to figure out how to respond. There is a left pointing arrow, a right pointing arrow and an X. I figured the X was delete so I didnt try that. Clicking the right arrow opens and new window ready to forward the message, EXCEPT, the To field is blank and since the app doesnt connect with either my companys global address book or my contact list I guess I have to go looking for the persons email address. Same with the left arrow, except that is the respond button. Theres also no way to customize the view to see part of the message in a preview pane so you just have to open each message. Hey, it says Version 1 and its only $7, but I think Ill have to wait until there are a few more robust features, like filling in the address for respond and giving me access to my address book before Ill be able to use it in place of logging into a web site. It does offer to append a signature in the settings dialog so thats nice. I rated it a 3 because I like the idea and hope that the developer will be encouraged to continue work on it. The less I have to touch Microsoft products the better.

I was actually able to connect to my OWA but the application is soooo limited that you might as well deal with issues with OWA. 1) sorts dont work - got mine in size order and cant get back to date 2) opening an email takes an unbelievable amount of time 3) no email preview 4) cant file email, can only delete. 5) cant really do any actions to the email other than reply all 6) buttons that are there are very unintuitive 7) etc Its really a proof of concept application. I think it meets the developers goal if it can just connect to the server. Dont expect anything beyond viewing a list of email if you are successful connecting which most reviewers appear not to fall into that category.

All this does is connect to server and display a list of your emails. It does not display folders. It is a waste. Just accept the fact that you have to use OWA access for your email which is not really that bad. Wish I could get my money back. If the developer is reading this, please refund my money.

I have purchased every product for outlook this company makes. I know, I desperate. None of these apps work. I reached out for support, no response. I got our IT department involved, they cannot figure it out looking at the back end of error messages exchange is generating. Total waste of time.
